What should I have for tea?

I feel a hunger growing from a tiny little seed,
I know I must act quickly lest the feeling does impede,
My ability to shop and pay for food which guarantees,
I’ll arrive back to my flat with something nice to eat for tea.

Maybe an Italian, or something from that realm?
Cheesy pasta, veggies, fish – I feel such overwhelm!
Or how about a curry served alongside jasmine rice?
Or that salmon thing I had last week was really rather nice.

I could just get a pizza, make it simple, make it quick,
But the freezer spans an aisle and I don’t know which one to pick!
So I ponder on the poultry, then decide on baked potato,
Chilli top, tortilla chips – somehow I’m not convinced though.

What about an omelette, or some noodles, or a steak?
A lasagne I could choose and make a salad while it bakes.
Or how about I have the mighty humble beans on toast?
Or soup and bread, with veg and cheese, or something I could roast?

A ready meal would do the trick, my patience wearing thin,
Which means the task of finding a dessert must now begin.
Since it is a Friday I should go for a sweet treat,
But choosing one to make the cut is proving quite a feat.

I feel the déjà vu of a decision made before,
To make it every day it sometimes feels like such a chore.
Decisive is a thing it seems I simply cannot be,
Despite the choice I do not know what I should have for tea.
